For Wind Mitigation inspections for SkyeTec you need to install eInspections on your computer. It is important to go through each of these steps carefully!

Here are the steps that are outlined in the video above:

STEP 1: INSTALL

First, install eInspections on your computer by clicking on this link: http://einspections.net/upgrade/3.11.0 (last updated 11/30/2011)

Walk through the installation completely until you see the last screen and then select close.

WARNING: Please do not install Internet Explorer BETA 9. This will cause problems for the current version of eInspections™. As Internet Explorer 9 is released we will work with Microsoft to update eInspections to support the new features.

STEP 2: STARTING
Next, start eInspections by double clicking on the icon on your desktop.

STEP 3: LICENSING
Now, click on Licensing and Refresh my License in eInspections

STEP 4: LICENSING CONTINUED
In the licensing window enter skyetec-ppu for your company key and lic___ where ___ is your number given to you by SkyeTec. Both the company key and the user key NEED TO BE LOWER CASE!!

STEP 5: STOPPING
Next, CLOSE eInspections by clicking the X icon or clicking on File –> Exit. Make sure eInspections is NOT running.

STEP 6: COMPANY SETTINGS
Click on this Link and OPEN it: SkyeTec Company Settings — you will see a message saying it was added to eInspections!
Please note: if you have Chrome -or- FireFox you will need to download it and then double click on the download to OPEN it!

DONE!!! You are ready to inspect with eInspections! Just click on File–>New Inspection, select the AAA Wind Mit Inspection and you are ready!

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I delete inspection types?

Confirm that you have the newest version of the ISN, 3.10.7.0 by looking at the bottom right corner inside eInspections, or by going to Help –> About.
Navigate to File –> New Inspection and you will be prompted with the Inspection Type Selection window. Highlight the inspection type you want to delete, and click the Delete button. Confirm that you want to delete the inspection type by clicking Yes, and it will be removed.

Why is the “Build an ISN transfer package” button not clickable?

This button has 3 prerequisites:

  • You must have a valid license installed. Go to Licensing -> Refresh my License. You should see a checkmark image. If you don’t, then your eInspections is not fully licensed.
  • You must have a report number. Go to Information and find the Report Number field. If this is empty, you will need to find out the appropriate formatting required for this from SkyeTec.
  • You must have downloaded the footprint for this report via the ISN Remote Manager. If you did not, you will need to send your file to SkyeTec via email and have them correct it so it is ISN ready.
I receive an error report upon clicking “Capture Inspector Signature”, what can I do to fix this?

This most likely means you are on a tablet PC running Windows XP. Very often, this operating system version for the tablet lacks a particular software package from Microsoft.
This package is required for the Inspector and Client signatures to be capture-able.

Before clicking this link, please close eInspections completely. When clicking this link, click “Run” and follow the installation process, or if you are
using Chrome or Firefox, save the file and run it.

I can’t login to the ISN Remote Manager

First, check your internet connection. Open a web browser and go to http://www.google.com. If you can get to the site, your internet connection is working.

If your internet connection is working, then we need to check your company key. At the Remote Manager login screen, click the button that says “My Keys”. Ensure that the company key is “skyetec” in all lower case and without the quotations.

Check your Username and Password. If you can’t remember them, you can reset your password at http://www.inspectionsupport.net/skyetec/password.

If you have a Firewall of any sort, you need to ensure it will allow the ISN Remote Manager to connect to the internet. Please consult with the documentation and/or support of the Firewall you use for directions on how to do this.

The program crashes when I try to Print the Report

You may need to reinstall eInspections. Close eInspections and re-download it using the link found near the top of this page.

If a reinstall does not solve the problem, ensure you are using the correct SkyeTec templates. An out of date or corrupt template can cause a report to be unprintable.
